Today’s Confirmed Lesson in Helpfulness

20120225-144808.jpg

On an earlier podcast on my main site I discussed how to teach our kids to be more helpful. . Today was a lesson in how it works.

As I was mowing I turned around to see my oldest two helping me “mow.” I praised the crap out of them for doing it and they helped for almost 30 minutes before stopping. With some random high-fiving and shouted “EXCELLENT JOB”‘s I coaxed half an hour of trudging through grass that could have concealed a Bengal Tiger.

Just a small reminder of, if you want to see behaviors in your kids more, you have to notice them.
