Show Delayed

The show will be delayed until later today.  After several trials and errors last night I successfully recorded a show on the much more highly advanced Adobe Auditions.  However, at some point I mixed down the show and the intro music didn’t want to play.  I’m remotely connected to my Studio Computer as we speak mixing it down again.

I’ll get it up and out to you guys ASAP.

FPN Lost One of It’s Partners

Our Friend Lappy

Our Friend Lappy

Today FPN lost one of it’s electronic partners, Lappy the MacBook Pro.  Lappy has been the reason we have been able to crank out show after show since the latter part of 2011.

Last night as I was gearing up for the show, her screen went lifeless and refuses to boot so it’s safe to say that, for now, she’s not going to be producing for a while.

Kidding aside, never fear.  We have had a backup plan for the last few years and I’m working on getting a PC setup that will be handling our shows for and indefinite amount of time.  I’m having to reformat the drive so it will take some time.

As of now, Jeff and I are slated to record a RFGP but if there isn’t a show, we are setting up ASAP.  In the mean time, feel free to look FPN’s Archive for a show you’ve missed or a topic you specifically need to cover.  You can also hit “Ctrl F” on a PC or “Cmd F” on a Mac.  That will bring up a search bar so you can type any word into it and search our 300 plus shows for just the right one.

Thanks for your patience and we are working as fast as we can.

I So Sorry

My apologies to everyone on the low number of shows this week.  Two major reasons for that.  Reason number one is what I would call the worst allergy attack the Homestead de Gibson has ever suffered.  We have become a mass-production facility for sneezes, mucus, itchy watery eyes.  Sounds like we’re making a commercial for Mucinex.

Due to the crappy feels in the family (all but one kid and Corrie) there has been poor sleep and babies sleeping everywhere but  their rooms.  Jeff and I had to call it last night due to our 8 month old sleeping where I record, I am not a quiet man and finding a place where he could sleep comfortably has been a feat.

To top that off, we have had a major accreditation report due at my day job that has put me making edits at home at night.  Next week is already looking better and much less likely to be busy.  We will see you next week and enjoy your weekend.
