Episode 251 FPN Interview with Best Selling Author Andy Andrews on Extraordinary Parenting

Andy Andrews

Andy Andrews

Join us as we discuss:

What the difference between average and extraordinary is, and why it matters in parenting.

Why good parenting is the worst enemy of excellent parenting, not bad parenting.

What do we need to do as parents to change our parenting culture, and how it involves how you are thinking, not just what you are doing.

How his new book The Noticer Returns addresses these issues and my favorite quote Andy uses: “You can’t believe everything you think.”

SHOW NOTES

The Noticer Returns: Sometimes You Find Perspective, and Sometimes Perspective Finds You – Andy’s new book is on pre-order.  Reserve your copy today.  This is FPN Approved Material.

I Need Some Help from PETAKers and Audience Members

I need some help from you PETAKers and audience members. FPN is growing into the age of advertisers (very similar to Jacks at TSP).

I choose not advertise for *anything* that I wouldn’t sell to my grandmother so I want to start reaching out to companies that are honest, solid, and think similarly to us, that would want to support the mission of FPN.  People you guys trust, respect, and would want discounts to.

I’m scheduled to talk with the CEO of Diaper Dude this week, a solid guy with a love of family and a brilliant idea to sell diaper bags that let us men…be men (I’ve had mine for 5 years).

Who can you think of? Where would you guys want discounts to? Feel free to post the names of their sites here in the comments section, email me at [email protected], or post of FB and I will do the leg work.

There will not be a show today.  I’m taking a mental health day from my day job and FPN to work on getting our Fall garden planted.  The kiddos are helping and we’re going to be looking at beets, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, radishes, and lots of lettuce and spinach.

We will be back on Wednesday, but in the mean time, feel free to check out our Topics Page under Where to Start > Search for a Topic.
