We would love to have you on at The Family Podcast Network. Our show is dedicated to working with parents to provide them the knowledge and education to work with their tough kids, and even those that aren’t. Please watch the professional jargon and vernacular and speak practically. I also ask that you provide practical solutions when applicable. In most cases it is not enough to simply say that there are issues since we need to be providing solutions.
“Trey Gibson does an excellent job interviewing his guests to make them feel at home and to gather information to help families.”
Filling out this form does not guarantee you a spot on my show. If I feel like you do not align with FPN policies and beliefs I reserve the right to deny a spot on the show. It is not intended to be personal or hurtful, but as a screening service to the listeners who trust me to provide helpful information and parenting advice.
I reserve the right to not publish a podcast, after the interview is done, if there are comments or thoughts that are completely antagonistic to the spirit of FPN. I do not require us to agree on everything but if an interview is conducted and I feel like your belief systems might be antagonistic or otherwise hurtful to my audience, I may not air the interview. The more information you put in the Submission Form below the better I can be at evaluating that before I air the show and not waste your time. Don’t sweat this point, this is just for extremist ideologies that I feel would not benefit the majority of families.
I’ve put together a form to fill out that helps the show go off without any issues, provide FPN listeners with helpful and pragmatic information, and help you get your site and business some exposure to our listener base. It may seem like a lot but it will help the process go smoothly without any hitches.
When I bring a guest on the show I have two main goals….
- Bring new valuable information to our audience that is practical and applicable.
- Give the guest positive exposure as fair compensation for their time.
The more information you provide in the forms below will help us do a better job at meeting those goals for you the guest as well as the listener audience.
“Yesterday I had the privilege of being interviewed by Trey Gibson from the Family Podcast Network. Trey’s enthusiasm for families put me at ease to discuss raising a child with bipolar disorder and Asperger’s syndrome. Time flew as if I was speaking to an old friend about the disappointments and victories [we] experienced.”– Ellen Thomas, author of The Bipolar Express
Skype Name – I’m working on setting up land line and cell phone calls but Skype is better sound quality regardless. If you can use Skype please make sure to include your Skype name.
Bio – If you don’t have anything prepared for this understand you are not writing a bio for the back of a book, just tell us a bit about yourself it will help us do a better job of introducing you to the audience.
Proposed Topic – Just tell us what you want to discuss. The key is do you want to talk about a subject in general like dealing with stress in a family, or get laser targeted with something like exercise for releasing stress.
Five Questions – I will most assuredly ask more than five questions but having a starting point lets us construct an interview that is very comfortable for you as a guest.
Website – Blogs – This is for your company site, personal blog, anything that will help us better understand your work and do a good job introducing you to the audience.
Times That Work for You and Extra Messages – I try to be very flexible with your schedule and accommodate a time that works for the both of us. As a disclaimer, however, I am bi-vocational and work full time. My job is very flexible and can find times throughout the business day to do interviews but I can also do evening sessions if you are unable to find another time. I do give priority to guests during business hours however. All shows are pre-recorded and will air anywhere from a few days to two-weeks or so after they are recorded. Again, I am at the mercy of my schedule to splice and synthesize the show into an MP3 format. I will email you to let you know that the podcast is up and give you a link.
URL for Picture or Graphic – If you have a head shot, a photo, a logo or anything you would like included in your episodes show notes please provide the URL where we can find them online. It’s no big deal if you do not have one or do not wish to use one. I prefer having a graphic since it helps the audience link to your site, connect a name or logo to a voice, and because pictures are worth a thousand words to most folks.
If you are NOT the prospective guest please DO NOT fill out the form on their behalf unless you are a member of their staff. If you know a person that you would like to hear on the show please tell them about our show and email them the link to this page.
