On the Beach this Week

No Show Today

So, guess what.  As you read this, I’m still sitting on a beach, or swimming in the ocean, or fishing off a pier with mah kids today.  

One way or the other, there is no way I was going to pump out a show today with the amount of house-prepping and packing I had to do.  

I’m a bit of a prepper, even in regards to trips so I have a tendency to over-pack for way more contingencies than I need to.  But, that is my personality, and my choice.  

On a quick side-note, I practiced the ideas of last weeks Real Family Guys Podcast, and took the time to explain some of my predicaments with my kids.  They were incredibly understanding and supportive when I needed to pack, needed to get to bed early, and asked what we could do about not playing before bed like we typically do.

They were very understanding and said “you need to pack and get some rest for our drive tomorrow.”  I am completely confident that, without that technique, they would have thrown fits and been devastated.  Good thoughts Teacher Tom and thanks to Jeff for finding that article.
