Corrie, my wife, had what is called Interocular Contact Lens surgery yesterday.

Corrie has worn glasses all her life and has been okay with them but she has always wanted the freedom to not have to wear them.

So most of you are probably thinking “then why doesn’t she get some flappin’ contacts?”  This would be a legitimate question and the answer is:  she’s actually allergic to the material that normal contacts are made out of.

So you might be wondering “seriously, can a person be allergic to contact lenses?”   Again, the answer is yes.  Contacts have always made Corries eyes red and watery.  We recently heard about a surgery that would place a permanent lens on Corries eye that would permanently correct her vision and wean her off of glasses.  After we squared away the funds, we pulled the trigger and yesterday they completed her first eye.

I stayed home with beh-behs and got to play the single-dad, homemaker, and nurse to my busted-eye-balled wife.  As of today she has 20/20 vision in her right eye and the next surgery is scheduled for a couple of weeks from now.  I didn’t finish clean-up and dishes until 1am so I made an executive decision to cancel the show.

But  I didn’t want to leave you with nothing so I’m going to give you a list of the names of the top 10 most download shows as of today (4/10/13).  Pick one, and click on it and it will take you to the episode for your listening pleasure!
